The Evil Dead series started as a series of films created by Sam Raimi. They focus on Ashley J. Williams, better known as Ash and played by Bruce Campbell, dealing with deadites, a form of zombies, created by the Necronomicon. The series has since expanded into other formats such as video games and comic books.

Within the Woods

While it is not technicially a part of the series, Within the Woods was the first creation in what would become the Evil Dead universe. It was made to secure funds to properly make the first film.

If i'm not mistaken the book of the dead has a different latin name in each movie of the evil dead series.

Drag me to hell wasnt really scary. However it was still a good movie with parts that reminded me of the evil dead series.
