Ape Escape 3 is a video game that was developed and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2. It is the third entry in the Ape Escape series. The game was released in Japan on July of 2005, in North America on January 17, 2006 and Europe on May 5,2006.
It follows the same base as its predecessors: catch monkeys, catch the stage boss, catch the villain Specter.
Plot
The villain of the first 2 Ape Escape titles, Specter the Pipo Monkey's Leader, had managed to find a Peak Point Helmet and even hire the human scientist Dr. Tomoki. When teamed up they established villages protected by the Freaky Monkey Five. The TV shows broadcast on every radio were able to put every human except the twins, Kei (Satoru in JPN\EUR version) and Yumi (Sayaka in JPN\EUR version), their aunt Aki and Natalie (Natsumi in JPN\EUR version) into a mindless trance. When Natalie informed relatives Yumi and Kei that Spike, Jimmy and the Professor were all infected by the TV show that Specter made, Kei and Yumi went out to catch monkeys and thwart Specter and Tomoki. When they reach Tomoki City, Tomoki after being humiliated by Specter lets them take his rocket to space to defeat Specter. But after that Monkey Pink releases the Freaky Monkey 5 and Specter.
