Pirates of the Burning Sea (abbreviated to PotBS) is a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game (MMORPG) currently under development by Flying Lab Software. The game is set in the 18th century Caribbean and will combine role playing and naval combat. The developers expect to announce the release date at the Penny Arcade Expo in August.http://rpgvault.ign.com/articles/715/715316p1.html
Development
PotBS has been in development since 2002. Public beta testing began in December 2005, though currently beta testing is by invitation only. The game's website has an application form for those wishing to take part in beta testing (see external links section below).
